What the deal score means
Our provisional score combines the comparison you enter with three purchasing checks. It is editorial guidance based on your information. We have no verified live retailer feed or price-history dataset connected.
Before a score appears
Enter positive item prices for both offers and nonnegative shipping amounts. Then confirm that model, condition, currency and included items match. Until then the result says “not rated.” Use another current offer, not a crossed-out MSRP or an assumed past price.
The 100-point rubric
| Input | Points |
|---|---|
| Offer total at least 10% below your comparison total | 40 |
| Offer total lower, but by less than 10% | 20 instead of 40 |
| Offer total equal to or above your comparison | 0 for price |
| You checked seller identity and purchase protections | 20 |
| You checked returns, fees and warranty terms | 20 |
| You need the item and it fits your budget | 20 |
The 10% boundary is our simple editorial rule, not a statistically proven threshold or a market-price claim. Totals include entered shipping and exclude tax; compare actual tax at checkout. Loyalty points, future credits and uncertain rebates are not cash reductions.
Reasons to pause override the number
The written verdict flags missing seller or return checks first, then an unneeded purchase, then an offer that fails to beat the alternative. Even a high provisional score cannot prove authenticity, quality, warranty eligibility or price history. A score is not a product rating and is not published as review structured data.
What “verified” would require
A verified offer would need an identified source, an exact model and condition match, a current timestamp, available stock and applicable terms. A historical-low claim would additionally need sufficiently complete price observations over a stated period. We do not currently make those claims.
Affiliate independence
Our calculation does not take commissions into account. BestPickZone is a related shopping resource; some of its retailer links are affiliate links and are disclosed there. Using either tool does not require a purchase.
